AKA artist-run Board of Directors cordially invites you to attend AKA’s Annual General Meeting.
Join us as we review 2013/14 programming and operations and announce some exciting new developments for 2014/15.
Though the meeting is open to the public, only members in good standing are able to vote.
If your membership has lapsed, you can renew prior to the meeting to reinstate your standing.

Board Nominations
AKA artist-run is committed to acting as a centre for critical discourse, experimental risk-taking, and as a promoter of artistic self-determination. We foster discussion, build connections between artists, their community and a national audience, and we support emerging practices in all media produced by a diversity of voices. As of April 2014 one vacancy exists on the AKA Board, interested persons should submit a letter of interest and a C.V. and be prepared to commit an average of 6 to 8 hours per month of volunteer time and a two-year term.
The Board meets every four weeks. Meetings include: reviewing and addressing issues related to the governance and sustainability of the organization as a whole, such as programming, budget, finance, fundraising, and strategic and policy initiatives. The Board maintains several standing committees to assist in the governance of the organization.
