The TBA Projects program supports AKA’s membership and local communities through production support, artist fees and access to a public space.  Artists and community members access the program through varied projects such as: open studios, residencies, workshop space, performances and mentorship projects, to name a few.  Projects may be situated off site, in AKA’s shared event space or in AKA’s flex space.

AKA encourages members to access the TBA Projects program as a method to support their practice through research and experimentation. The program illustrates and exposes the artistic process and enables participants to work through their ideas in public.

TBA Projects are not juried by a selections committee.  Projects range between 6 to 8 annually and are generally scheduled a month in advance with an approximate 2 to 4 weeks in duration.

Anyone can be a member of AKA either through a volunteer-earned membership (15 hrs) or by purchase. Members interested in TBA Projects should send a proposal via email to gallerycoordinator (a) akaartistrun.com or visit us at AKA to discuss the following:

1) Requested dates for the project

2) A brief summary of the proposed project (no more than 500 words) including an artists statement if applicable (no more than 500 words).
