Diefenbaker Park along the Meewasin trail near the Circle Drive Bridge
Please join us in a gathering at Diefenbaker park near the installation of Michel Huneault’s Roxham for a sharing circle and open conversation. We will be joined by three guests sharing their personal experiences of being a refugee in Canada. The event is in conjunction with AKA’s current project Roxham presented in partnership with Roadside Attractions. Michel’s Roxham documents asylum seekers stories in images and sound as they enter into Canada at irregular border crossings.
The event will begin with a short walking tour of the installed works in Diefenbaker park followed by a sharing circle, where the guests will share their stories followed by an open conversation.
Light refreshments will be provided!
AKA would like to thanks Global Gathering Place for their help and support of this event.
