All my Relations

The term “All my Relations” is the core belief of many Indigenous cultures in Canada. As a Cree and Saulteaux artist, I find myself living my life by that term. We are all interrelated from animals to the water we drink. We are all here to share mother earth and are expected to show respect as visitors. I chose the term “All my Relations” to represent my show because it elaborates on my strong beliefs as an Indigenous artist. Many of my pieces are on my experiences growing up Indigenous and the problems my people have to face such as identity loss. Recently I have been exploring my spirituality by following my Cree and Saulteaux teachings. Many teachings and stories will remain lost. As an Indigenous artist, I plan to keep the ones I know alive through my art.
