Responsibilities
The festival technician will coordinate audio installation and various technical needs related to the Sounds Like Audio Art Festival. The preferred candidate will coordinate with artists presenting at the festival in the proceeding weeks, and will have a class 5 drivers license in order to gather installation materials, and transport audio equipment and hospitality supplies. On the week of the festival July 21-26, 2014 the successful candidate will work directly with the featured sound artists on setting up installation works and running sound checks.
Qualifications
-experience with audio/video-related installations and performances
-an understanding on contemporary artistic practice, experimental/underground/diy music practices
-the ability to work closely with artists and other professionals
-class 5 drivers license & access to a vehicle
